Under the provisions of Ordinance #29-1, of the Township of Davison: Permission is hereby granted to lawfully open burn for the property owner(s) at the property listed below:

Permits are valid January 1, through December 31 for the current calendar year in which they are issued and must be renewed yearly.

Since 1995, solid waste regulations have prohibited the open burning of grass clippings and leaves in Michigan municipalities with a population of 7500 of more.

No fire shall be set after the expiration of this permit
No fire shall be set at a time when high wind is blowing
An adequate fire line shall be made around the area to be burned
A force of sufficient personnel to control the fire shall be on hand at the time of burning
Permitted person shall be liable for all damage to the property that may result from burning done under this permit

Only dried brush, tree trimmings, shrubbery, or other wood materials may be burned. The burning of leaves, grass or trash of any kind is prohibited.
All fires must be of a manageable size as determined by the Township Enforcement Official, Township Police, or Davison-Richfield Fire Department officers. You are liable for any cost that may occur due to Davison-Richfield Fire Department dispatched, Section 9 of Ordinance #29-1
Outside burning shall be constantly attended by a competent person until the fire is completely extinguished.
Burning shall be during daylight hours, except for campfires as provided by Section 5(a)(1).
No open burning shall be allowed in or on any public road or right-of way.
