Bristol Rd. rehabilitation project begins
DAVISON TWP., Mich. – The Genesee County Road Commission will begin work on Bristol Rd. between Irish Rd. and Lang Rd. on Monday, October 9. Work will begin at the intersection of Bristol Rd. and Irish Rd. and it will be completely closed. The posted detour will take drivers from Maple Rd. to Vassar Rd. to Atherton Rd. to M-15 and vice versa. The project is expected to wrap up for the season around mid-November and resume in the spring. Drivers are asked to proceed with caution and leave extra time to reach their destination.
Vulnerable Persons Form
The Davison Township Police now have a vulnerable Persons Alert Form. The form is designed to assist first responders in the event that a vulnerable person ever goes missing or becomes endangered. Gale Road To Close As Part Of Lapeer Road Project
DAVISON TWP., Mich. – As part of its Lapeer Rd. reconstruction project, the Genesee County Road Commission will be closing Gale Rd. between Lapeer Rd. and Court St. beginning in the afternoon of Wednesday, September 13. The road will be closed until the completion of the project which is estimated to be in October. The posted detour takes drivers from Lapeer Rd. to Irish Rd. to Court St. to Gale Rd. Residents of Chatwell Club Apartments will be able to access their homes. Motorists should allow additional time to reach their destination.
Irish Road Rehabilitation Project Begins
DAVISON TWP., Mich. – The Genesee County Road Commission will begin its Irish Rd. rehabilitation project on Tuesday, September 12. Work will take place between Lapeer Rd. and Court St. The project is expected to be completed by mid-November. All lanes on northbound Irish Rd. will be closed. Two-way traffic will be maintained in the southbound lanes. Motorists should allow additional time to reach their destination.
Update – Paving Operations on Irish Road
DAVISON TWP., Mich. – The Genesee County Road Commission will be paving Irish Rd. between Atherton Rd. and north of Bristol Rd. on Thursday, September 7 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The road will be closed to thru traffic. Buses and emergency vehicles will be able to pass through the work zones. Motorists should allow additional time to reach their destination.
You Need a Building Permit for New Roofs or Re-Roofs

Genesee County Road Commission – Road Construction
Genesee County Road Commission stated that starting on June 15, 2023 until unknown, traffic will be affected on Lapeer Road. Traffic will be open for West Bound traffic only on Lapeer Road from Gale Road to C & L Ward. Construction Zone. Please use caution when traveling in this area and obey construction zone laws.
