Davison Township was officially organized on April 6, 1840 and has become a high demand area of Genesee County to live and raise a family. At 34 square miles and over 19,575 residents, Davison Township is located at the border of Genesee and Lapeer Counties. The I-69 and M-15 corridors allow residents and visitors easy access to Davison Township.
Our blend of commercial, residential, and agricultural zoning offers residents a unique living, working and playing experience. Add the outstanding Davison Community School District, highly trained police and fire departments and proximity to institutions of higher education, Davison Township becomes a much sought after address.
Davison Township today combines small-town ambience with accessibility to big city conveniences. We boast a wide variety of recreation opportunities through our parks system, community education programs, non-motorized pathways, a dynamic Senior Center, a growing Downtown Development District, and the thriving Davison Farmers Market, as well as many other amenities.
The Davison Township Board of Trustees continually strives to improve the quality of living for residents, businesses, and visitors. We have a long history of intergovernmental cooperation which includes the Davison Richfield Area Fire Authority, the Davison-Richfield Area Senior Authority and our Quad-Unit Governmental organization, a cooperative effort between Davison City, Davison Township, Richfield Township and Davison Community Schools. Davison Township prides itself on being a safe, community-oriented place with services and programs for youth, families and the elderly. Whether you choose to live, work, play, or shop in Davison Township, you’ll feel right at home!
